PUA413.COM is proud to announce the creation of their 4 on 4 Co-Ed Volleyball tournament, named The BOWIE 4 on 4 Co-Ed Volleyball Tournament, honoring Tyrone Bowie Jr., the first volleyball coordinator for the City of Holyoke Parks & Recreation.

As the birthplace of volleyball, Holyoke holds a significant place in the sport's rich history. In 2002, at just 23 years old, Tyrone's deep passion for volleyball caught the attention of Mayor Michael Sullivan,(2001-2010) who promptly appointed Tyrone to a crucial position that would lead to making him Holyoke's first volleyball coordinator. This tournament honors his remarkable contributions and lasting legacy in our community, serving as a testament to the impact that one person's passion and dedication can have in our great city..

Set to take place on the first weekend of July 2026 in Holyoke, Massachusetts, the BOWIE Co-Ed Volleyball Tournament will feature three competitive age divisions: The Lions (ages 21 - 31), The Hawks (ages 32 - 42), and The Knights (ages 43 and older). by implementing these ages group we will ensure equal game-play for all participants.

Black History Month

February 2024

My fellow Negro Americans, we the descendants of the unjustly enslaved on the North America continent, this is the month of February and in this month we must come together to remember the adversity, struggles and the triumphs that our ancestor had to endure and stand up to, and made sure that we, their descendants now of this land know as the USA, will have the opportunities to build up the strong Negro American communities we are building today.

We should take this time to think about what has been our positive influence on society has been and how we can continue to improve on how others view us.

To my Negro American Leaders of our communities, it is time we all work on, not how we can be like someone ells of the past, who we can look up to, but how we can step up to be that one that is look up to in the future. Let’s make some new history. Fore we are all leaders and must step up to the challenge that the powers to be have laid down in front of us. Lending out your hand to those in need of it, sometimes is the small gesture can go a long way.

To all my other fellow Americans I ask you to take the time to open up the conversation. To open your mind to learning one thing new about the Negro American community from someone in your community. Just ask. “What has been your family history in American “ Just listen, then thank them and walk away. Take that untold American history lesson with you.

Thanks for you all, I appreciate you and look forward to seeing what we can accomplish together.

SPRING 2023

Min Tyrone Bowie Jr. Black North American Heritage Flag.

“…So Why Create a new Negro AmericaN Heritage Flag?"

Min. Bowie Jr learned in his pursuit of equality For Negro Americans of Holyoke, MA VIA an email conversation with one of the creator’s offspring that the current Black American Heritage Flag created in 1967 was suggested to not only represent not only the Negro American but that this flag should represent the Afro-Caribbean heritage as well. Unhappy with this, he decided to create his own to only represent those who Negro Americans elders were enslaved in these United States of America in 1619.

Brief History of the Negro American Heritage

The Negro Americans, the Descendants of slaves have been part of the North America Continent since August 1619, when the first African slaves were brought to this land. They were not allowed their rights to dignity, or humanity. They suffered unjust enslavement and forced servitude to North America in the creation of the United States. Denied the right to African heritage and cultures they would learn to grow and develop a new one of their own underground at risk of death. Bringing birth to the American Negro. Negro is the Latin word for Black.

The Negro women and men where both used as sex tools, during slavery. The Negro offspring produced from this rape had lighter complexions. This caused lighter skinned Negros to be separated from their Negro parents, unimaginable times to be sold into servitude in the homes of other slave owners, to hide this what was called a shameful act. The darker skinned Negros were forced to work the fields and not allowed in the house. This has kept them unstable and caused division to their communities. This division of how dark the Negro skin was, severely devastated them and has evidence of it still affects them today.

While under these unthinkable conditions the American Negro made new music genres. Turned table scraps into delicacy. Created new art forms of self-expression. They created their new language which we call today Ebonics . They built them-self a new beginning, while being forced to build America. By the 1960s they proudly used the name Black Americans. In the 1980 some preferred the name African Americans but not all took to this as they felt it disrespect the hard work of the elders before them to change their race name to reflect a culture no longer theirs.

Min. Tyrone Bowie Jr is PROUD to be of descendant of Negro American Heritage. He created this image for this flag to represent his people, and their struggles and successes as Americans.

The black star, divided, represents how Negro North Americans were viewed in the beginning and how they broke free to become the Negro Americans Descendants they have grown to be today.

The Blue outline around the black star represents the hope they held while being oppressed by slavery.

The Red outline represents the hate that American society holds against the Negro American communities both in the past and the present.

The Red in the background is for all the Negro American Descendants blood spelled in the pursuit of freedom, justice, equality and liberty.

The Blue represents the view of a positive influence and future for Negro Americans in United States America.

The black fist handle on the blunt blade in front of the equal symbol represents their endless fight for equality.

Lastly the white wings represent the peace and love they want to bring to American society.

If your African assessors were forcefully brought to the USA. Your family elders were created in slavery or forced servitude in one of the lands that would become these States of the USA, then this flag is yours.
