Governance & Community Guidelines

The Real Connection

Our mission:
is to create a welcoming and inclusive community that honors spirituality without adhering to any specific religion. We aim to bridge the divides of inequality by opening doors to opportunities, helping individuals find their way to spiritual enlightenment. Through meaningful community involvement and engaging artistic expression, we seek to inspire and connect everyone on their personal journeys, fostering a spirit of togetherness and personal growth.

The Real Connection is a grassroots spiritual church rooted in relationship, accountability, and community care. We are organized as an unincorporated spiritual association and guided by shared leadership rather than hierarchy.

Our Structure

  • The Real Connection is overseen by a Board of community members who provide shared accountability.

  • Board members serve renewable one-year terms, helping ensure transparency, balance, and continuity.

  • The Board oversees finances, safeguarding, and organizational decisions.

Spiritual Leadership

  • Spiritual leadership at The Real Connection focuses on guidance, mentoring, and facilitation, not doctrine.

  • Leadership operates under board oversight and clear ethical boundaries.

  • Spiritual leadership may be volunteer-based or compensated only with formal board approval.

Accountability & Transparency

  • Financial decisions are reviewed collectively.

  • Records of decisions and finances are maintained internally.

  • Internal bylaws and policies guide our operations and are kept on record by the Board.

Safety & Respect

  • We are committed to providing a safe and respectful environment.

  • Clear boundaries, safeguarding practices, and community standards are in place.

  • We value dignity, consent, and mutual respect across all ages and backgrounds.

Our Commitment

We exist to support connection, meaning, and personal growth across belief systems.
We lead with care, humility, and responsibility — to our community and to one another.
